Membership

Membership in SMC of SLC is open to all. Anyone in the Salt Lake area interested in learning more or sharing expertise focused on social media is welcome.

Social Media Club offers several membership levels: non-profit, student, professional, small business, media and corporate. In addition to the tiered benefits seen below, members will receive discounted admission to all chapter events as well as events co-sponsored by SMC SLC.

Open Membership (Free)

  • Members and member companies will be able to join our email lists and our social network where you can connect with others in Social Media Club who have similar interests or needs.
  • Access to special information, how to’s, and the shared knowledge of the information created at all the chapter meetings and events we organize.
  • Ability to publish in the Social Media Club Observer.

Student ($25 yearly)

  • In addition to the benefits above, those at this membership level will receive a membership kit with a Social Media Club Member Card and stickers.
  • All members at this level and above will receive discounts to the various events that are organized by Social Media Club or its partner organizations.
  • Must have an email address ending in .edu

Non Profit ($50 yearly)

  • All the benefits listed above, under ‘Student’.
  • Must have an email address ending in .org

Professional ($100 yearly)

  • In addition to the benefits above, all Professional members have the opportunity to be listed in theSpeakers Directory.
  • Special invitations to Professional member-only events.
  • Opportunity to highlight work/services in monthly newsletters.
  • Ability to publish in the Social Media Club Observer and Social Media Club Journal

Small Business ($250)*

  • In addition to the benefits above, this membership level includes three (3) Professional memberships for employee representatives of the company.
  • Additional memberships can be purchased at a discounted rate. Contact kristie [at] socialmediaclub [dot] org for more details.
  • Receive a special listing in our Company Directory for product and service providers to the Social Media industry (coming soon!).
  • Special 125×50 ad that will be highlighted (via rotation) on the Social Media Club website
  • Opportunity to offer promotions or discounts to other members through the website.
  • Small Business members have the opportunity to sponsor our various events, round tables, workshops, seminars, conferences and unconferences.
* A small business concern is a small business that is not dominant in the field of operation for which it is bidding on a contract, in addition to qualifying as a small business under the criteria and size standards in Title 13, Code of Federal Regulations, part 121. For our purposes, a Small Business Membership is for companies with less than 100 employees and gross receipts less than $1 million dollars annually.

Corporate ($2,499)

  • In addition to the benefits above, the corporate membership level includes (10) professional memberships for employee representatives of the company.
  • Special 125×125 ad that will be highlighted (via rotation) on the Social Media Club website
  • Opportunity to offer promotions or discounts to our chapter and members through the monthly face to face gatherings.
